Harper's Ferry!

Since we brought the dogs, we had to walk the bus route to "old town"

It was absolutely beautiful (sorry for the dark pictures) for about 1/4 mile- then we just walked by the road.

And Tosca is my sweetie.

Harper's Ferry changed sides several times during the war- these trails were not easy and I can't imagine how they pulled canons up them.

This was an old pulp factory destroyed in a record flood.

Then we went to an arm's demonstration- we didn't really think through the fact that those guns firing might spook our dogs.

But really very cool- these battlegrounds do an excellent job on these mini-tours

Old railway tunnel.

We wanted to walk on the Appalachian Trail but this open-backed metal spiral stair was a major hurdle for Tosca.

She no likes stairs.

For some reason, Logan wanted to make it look like we were being eaten by a big monster (played by Toph)

But our dogs were way tired!

More Logan and Toph- they're just too cute.

Unfortunately, Tosca was not willing to go back up those scary stairs so Logan had to rescue her.

I would have stood NO chance of being able to carry her up those steps.
